Although People in Germany were known for a reputation as the continent's most devoted nudists, recent survey data suggests that Denmark's citizens are both more accepting regarding removing clothes in open spaces, but also more inclined to have engaged in it.

Survey Methodology

The comprehensive survey included six western European nations – the UK, the Danish nation, the French republic, the German state, Italy and the Spanish kingdom. Results demonstrated that Danes stood out as the most likely to declare that stripping off publicly was completely fine – and to have followed through.

Overall Perspectives Throughout European Nations

Open Countryside Attitudes

Although falling interest in modern times, the German nation continues to be one of the most liberal states globally for stripping off in authorized locations. Areas of shorelines, lakesides and campsites are legally designated for this practice.

Clothing-Optional Areas

Data showed that just twelve percent of participants from Denmark had been naked in dedicated naturist sites like beaches or campsites. That exceeded British participation at 6%, matched France's rates at 14% and Italian at 11%, but remained lower than Spain's 22% plus Germany's 25%.

Future Willingness

Danish respondents also demonstrated more openness to engage in stripping off in open spaces going forward. Approximately half declared they would consider to strip off in a public setting, compared with forty-two percent of Germans, thirty-eight percent of Spaniards, thirty-four percent of French respondents along with twenty-nine percent of both British people and Italians.

Group-Specific Trends
