Stateside entertainer Pat Finn, who featured in beloved TV shows such as Friends, "Seinfeld" and The Middle, has died aged 60.

The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in Los Angeles this Monday following cancer treatment beginning in 2022, according to reports.

"Pat Finn never met a stranger - only friends he hadn't encountered," his loved ones stated in a statement.

They added that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with zest and passion".

An Extensive TV Career

His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.

He also had a recurring role on Murphy Brown between 1995 and 1997.

He appeared as a party host named Joe Mayo in the show Seinfeld in 1998, playing a party host known to delegate burdensome jobs to his guests.

Throughout the late 1990s and early 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of well-known programs, like:

  • The King of Queens
  • Friends
  • "That '70s Show"
  • House, M.D.

His most famous role for playing Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons over nearly a decade.

His work in movies encompass It's Complicated and Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups (2012).

"Pat guided, supported, and advised countless students during his career and it would be difficult to find anyone who has anything negative to say about him," his loved ones expressed.

Paying homage, colleague and actor actor Richard Kind remarked there was "not a more kind, gentle, or funny, grounded individual you could encounter".

"Consistently upbeat, assisting others to improve and be funnier. A wonderful father and man," he posted online.

Finn is leaves behind his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his mother, father, and brothers/sisters.
