Loyal followers of the pop star are urging that a man who jumped a fence and touched the actress during yesterday's Wicked: For Good debut be arrested or deported from Singapore.

A widely shared footage shows the person identified as Johnson Wen shoving aside camera operators and rushing toward Grande while the performers proceeded down a yellow carpet accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo quickly guided the shocked star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "let go after being arrested", though official papers revealed that he was due to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Controversial Figure", has disrupted a concert or event. His Instagram account contains videos of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including jumping on stage at the pop singer's Sydney performance in June this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is obviously a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen posted of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" another Instagram user questioned.

Fans Show Disapproval Over the Star's Well-being

Numerous supporters criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had discussed experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her May 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and harming many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further comment on Instagram.

Several fans also questioned event staff at the premiere for not being adequately prepared; while different individuals demanded digital services to ban Mr Wen's content.

Response and Event Details

In footage spreading on the internet, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was escorted away by staff.

Grande has remained silent on the event, and the premiere activities proceeded as normal.

Many of attendees had gathered in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international premiere in a Singapore venue, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it started.

The motion picture, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the sequel of a dual interpretation of the popular theatrical musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two distinct sorceresses.

The production itself is a spin-off of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the good witch Glinda, was decked out in a champagne pink sparkling outfit at the gathering while Erivo, who portrays the wicked witch, wore a elegant ensemble embroidered with roses.

They were accompanied by cast member Jeff Goldblum.

The first movie, Wicked, was the top-earning film of last year in the UK, and received a dozen award recognitions, winning two for best costume and set decoration.
