Spurs declared that Fabio Paratici reclaims his position as director of sport after a two-and-a-half-year FIFA ban.

Previous coverage revealed that discussions were underway regarding his potential return to the club.

Paratici will act as co-sporting director alongside Lange, overseeing Spurs' men's football strategy, covering player development, talent identification, and player recruitment.

Paratici stepped down from his role in 2023 after his appeal against the ban for accounting issues was rejected by Italy's top sports tribunal.

His suspension originated from issues at Juventus, where Paratici was in the positions of sporting director and managing director before moving to Spurs in 2021.

The club was determined to be at fault of false accounting, leading to a 10-point penalty in Serie A.

Last month, a court in Rome accepted a plea bargain proposal from Paratici and ex- Juventus executives, which means he does not face an one-and-a-half-year prison sentence.

Under Italian law, settlement agreements do not require an acknowledgment of wrongdoing or taking responsibility.

"I'm delighted to be returning to a club that I love," said the executive. "For months, I've collaborated with Lange, Vinai, and Frank as a advisor, and I now look forward to going back to London and rejoining the staff full-time. I believe that working in partnership with Johan, we can create a bright future for the club and our supporters."

Tottenham will complete their new management team by hiring a football operations director to support Paratici and Lange.

In the interim, the club's women's team will continue to be under the supervision of Venkatesham.
